11" Twister Rigging
We looked forever for these BIG Twisters. They stretch to 13". They have been a huge success and have proven themselves last fall and continue to catch big fish this year. Although simple there is a RIGHT way to rig them.
The Twister has a seam along the top and bottom. This seam is in direct line with the tail, so your hooks must enter and exit along this line!! Each Twister has 9 lugs and grooves. They work very well on 9/0 and 10/0 jig hooks.
This time we are using a 9/0 Stinger Hook and 7 oz Parachute with a 10/0 Jig Hook. Start your Stinger Hook in the 4th Groove DIRECTLY ON THE SEAM LINE! The tail should have the curl up.. As you bend the twister make sure the hook shank stays in the top third of the lure. Exit the hook where the lugs meet the tail.
