Shimano Waxwing Lures
Speed, distance, and power are all important factors in saltwater lure casting. Releasing the lure from the hook-keeper, sliding your way to the bow in 4 foot seas, going 30 knots into a head wind while facing an acre of breaking jumbos in front of you – this is Tuna fishing today. Yes, we are crazy, and no, we don’t skydive. It’s too dangerous. This is the Waxwing mentality.
The lure was specifically designed for this type of fishing. Sure, it does a lot more than that!! We have not been able to find a predator on the list that won’t eat it!! That’s not a bad problem to have. The speed of the system makes it a go, when a blink of the eye is all the fish will give you. The aerodynamics of the lure make it easy to cast. Many report they can outcast their buddies fishing 5 oz more because of this. The unique fin design allows it to swim like no other lure on the market.
Fish bite it like it’s the first time they have ever seen it. Like the home run hitter going after a nasty curve ball, the rod, the reel, the line and the lure are all meshed together as one deadly package. Whether it’s Giant Bluefin, Reds, or Calico Bass you seek, you have never really caught them in the most fun way possible,
until you cast and hit the target with the Waxwing.
